10 Years Ago on my website, Pure Abstract: Alter your perception of the world around you.
I avoid patterns in my abstraction, and turn paintings during creation. There isn't a horizon in my finished work. Many of them look good in more than one orientation (naturally) & I encourage collectors to turn my art to suit their eye. There are some I rotate throughout the year.
Now Receiving (same painting as above)I call this painting Now Transmitting when the blue blob near the center is floating jellyfish up style & Now Receiving when jellyfish orientation is down. I enjoy many of my paintings in multiple orientations. Small ones like this can look elegant when framed or they're fun to keep on a bookshelf where they can be touched and repositioned. Interacting with art is stress relieving, I find.
